ABAP Backend Developer

Mission

Support the successful execution of SAP Technical Upgrade and Migration projects by resolving technical issues, ensuring system stability, and delivering high-quality backend development throughout the project lifecycle. Leverage expertise in SAP SUM, ABAP development, and upgrade remediation to minimize business disruption, support seamless system transitions, and contribute to the successful modernization of SAP landscapes while collaborating with global project teams in English.

Required Qualifications

• Proven experience participating in SAP Technical Upgrade and/or Migration projects utilizing the SAP Software Update Manager (SUM) tool.
• Strong hands-on experience in analyzing, troubleshooting, and resolving technical issues and defects arising during SAP upgrade and migration activities.
• Solid knowledge of SAP ABAP development and debugging techniques in upgrade and migration environments.
• Experience supporting post-upgrade stabilization, defect resolution, and technical validation activities.
• Ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams across technical workstreams to ensure successful project delivery.
• Strong problem-solving and analytical skills with the ability to work independently in complex technical environments.
• Professional proficiency in English (written and spoken) is mandatory, with the ability to communicate effectively with international stakeholders and project teams.

Preferred Qualifications

• Previous experience delivering SAP projects within the Energy and Utilities industry is considered a strong advantage.
• Experience with SAP S/4HANA Technical Upgrade or System Conversion projects is a plus.
• Familiarity with SAP best practices for technical upgrades, migration methodologies, and system optimization.
